This presentation will dive into how the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) undertakes data collection, production and dissemination to deliver safe and efficient navigation products and services. Along with our industry partners of the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program, the AHO is on a digital transformation journey towards an exciting hydrospatial future.
CDRE Stewart Dunne
Commodore Stewart Dunne joined the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) in 1990 and has been Hydrographer of Australia since December 2020.
As Maritime Warfare Officer, Stewart has deployed extensively throughout the Indo-Pacific region in HMA Ships. Stewart has also held a number of headquarter-level positions in the areas of operational planning and capability development.
Stewart is a graduate of Australia’s War College Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies, holds two Masters degrees, an H1 specialist qualification and a Graduate Diploma of Hydrographic Surveying from Plymouth University. He is Patron of the RAN Rugby League.
Stewart is married and has three children.
